OOoooohhH….Look who I got to see today!

So…. whenever I shoot a delivery – I do a follow-up session in about 2-3 weeks.  Well, little Miss “L” is 3 weeks old tomorrow and doing great!  Mmmm….so delicious.  Before we get to looking at Miss Priss….there are a couple of things to discuss here – first, could this child’s skin be any prettier?  No bumps, blemishes, or redness.  (Is this a Clearasil commercial?)  Second, please raise your emoticon hand if you looked as pretty as Mama here a couple of weeks after your delivery.  Yeah, no.  I was sporting my husband’s armpit stained undershirts and his boxers…seeing how I couldn’t fit into much else.  I looked…killa.

Check her out.

Chillaxin…

Little “J”, Mr. “B” and Miss “C”

I met these cool little BLUE EYED peeps about this time last year….and, I was fortunate enough to hook up with them again during my visit to PB.   We had ourselves a fun game of tag, unsuccessful leap frog and some serious giggles.  Thanks for calling me again – I love being able to see everyone.  I’ll let you know when the rest go up – for now, a little sneak peek.

Mister “M” and Little Miss “S”….Backyard morning fun!

Let’s just start with these eyes….couldn’t be more drastically different but both are breathtaking!  Mister “M” and my camera had a little thing going as he was diggin’ having his picture taken.  His sister took a little break from the shooting and got busy playing with her Dora jeep and their dog, Max.  This modeling stuff is tough work people!  Thanks for having me over this morning….here’s a quick peek.

Beautiful afternoon with some Furry Friends!

This sweet lady is our nephew’s god-mother and how lucky is he?  She could not be any nicer.  She is as pleasant as they come and I so enjoyed my time with her yesterday.  The doggies were just as fun and I loved getting to know their little personalities.  We met at the most beautiful spot – one of many in Palm Beach…..and it just so happened that a few others had the same idea so we couldn’t let the dogs just “go”.   We had a nice time regardless and the pups did great.

For those who are curious…..Holly and Thistle are American Cockers and Caroline is a King Charles…..I am fascinated by the coloring of the sweet Cockers.

Enjoyed meeting you guys…..thanks for having me out to play.

Another great family….

Once again, I am lucky enough to see these cool cats while I am down here.  Last time, Daddy was out of town so it was great to have him along today.  Little mister “S” was on fire when I arrived and I quickly got out my camera and took notice.  “L” had a grand memory of my last visit and was ready to play on the swing set right away!  We had to get him into “George Washington” mode as he said he was getting into his ‘president’ clothes.  LOVE IT.

Thanks for having me over…..here’s a little sneak peak!

Cute little family…..

So…my sister-in-law is nice enough to have me down to Palm Beach again for a fun week of shooting.  This cute family was first on my list.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have them in front of my camera a couple of times before and little Miss “B” and I have a lil’ something goin’.  We had ourselves a tea party, she showed me her ballet positions…..and her little brother couldn’t get his hands out of her beautiful, curly, whirly hair!  Looking forward to playing again tomorrow when your grandmother comes to see you!!  Here’s a peek of today’s playdate!

By the way…..are these children’s eyes for real?  Beautiful…

“Mmmmm….what am I going to make for my party?”

I know “B”…..it’s exhausting.  You did great.

St. Patty’s Day Superhero!

“L”……You’re such a sweet little guy and I have been so fortunate to document your milestones nearly every three months since you were 3 months old.  Can you believe it?  You’re THREE YEARS OLD today.  Give your Mama and Daddy a BIG OH Irish KISS for continuing to pull me along for your journey.  Oh, and “L”…. I think Spider Man is pretty cool too.  Happy Happy 3rd Birthday my little friend.

Happy Birthday Baby “L”

What a beautiful day – and I got to do one of my very favorite things in the whole world.  I love LOVE shooting deliveries and this one was extra special.  Mama did a FANTASTIC job and Daddy was awesome.  I know it’s been a long day – but I’m sure you’ll agree….Sweet Miss “L” was worth every contraction and push.  Another pretty cool thing about it…..”L” and I share the same birthday…(just found out – SO DOES MAMA!  How neat is that?)  Thanks for including me – it was the perfect gift for me today.

Daddy was concentrating…..making sure he cut the cord just right.

Finally!  Done with all that poking and prodding…wrapped up cozy!

Mama’s first time getting to see and hold her …..

…and “L”, this is what it looked like outside the day you were born.  Welcome to the World!

You have a God given talent for seeing the beauty of each moment and capturing it, at just the right time. Thank you for being there with us and helping us preserve some of the most precious glimpses of the birth of our baby girl. You are the best! (Also, thank you so much for being a little ray of light-while I was pushing my heart out.) Love, Candy

“Laz” the Blog Stalker says, “It’s Time to Update!”

So…..one of my very best childhood friends (the kind that can trigger laughter with tears, urine and hyena noises in about 2.5) and I were on the phone today…..and she says to me, “The Zoo was great and all…..but it’s time to update.”  Okay bossy boots.  Here’s a little peek at a project I’m working on for an upcoming Fashion Show for Charleston Fashion Week – it benefits the MUSC Children’s Hospital and these little cats are some really cool patients who will be struttin’ the runway next week! (I’m trying to remove my BIG FAT WATERMARK …I have to geek out and remember how first….)  Go HERE for tickets….

A day at the ZOO….

P.U. we went to the ZOO.

Last night at dinner I was asking the children if they had gotten their reading done…blah blah blah…and my youngest says something along the lines of…”what are you about to say?”  I don’t understand what kind of ~vibe~ we give off…but every time we try to surprise the children – they know we’re up to something.  “R” was 6 years old….came downstairs for breakfast and saw a suitcase downstairs and said, “What, are we going to Disney World?”….uh, yeah, we were surprising them with that THAT morning….but what in the WORLD about a suitcase downstairs screams DISNEY WORLD?  I’m not really into things like this….but I do sorta kinda think I possess this talent to guess things as well….one time, when my husband and I were newlyweds…..he walked outside of our apartment and I got this OVERWHELMING feeling that he had gotten me a bicycle…..so I wrote it down on a piece of paper so he would believe me if I had to say…”you ain’t gonna believe this but….” and doggone if he didn’t roll in a green bicycle with a basket.  No birthday, no Valentine’s, no anniversary.  Just because.

So….bring it back to yesterday….and because the children have a long weekend and I wanted to do something fun…..I took a bag of change out of our closet….cashed it out at the bank….and bought tickets to the Zoo with it.  They brought along some spending money of their own and we had ourselves a grand day at the stinky zoo.  I must say the theme song of “Freaks come out at night” played through my head….I’m just sayin’.

On our way there – we were the FINE recipients of a good old fashioned HIT-N-RUN on the Interstate.  A girl…side swipes us ever so slightly in a red Honda CRV…she speeds up only to bob and weave in and out of traffic to get out of sight….we FORTUNATELY get her tag # (GA – Henry County – AXM 0891….uh huh…I know it’s a long shot but I mean, she could be your next door neighbor’s baby sitter and you could be lookin’ at the tag right now) and call police.  Low and damn behold….those tags come back to a Chevy Camaro…not a Honda CRV  Well, poop.  I reckon we better start saving those quarters again to fix that little swipe mark.  We decided: instead of overwhelming frustration….we are going to count our blessings that we weren’t sent spinning down the Interstate at 70 miles per hour.  And here’s what we continued on to see…
